As we get older we often lose interest in cooking or can find it harder to cook tasty and healthy foods on a limited budget.  Poor nutrition can cause a range of problems for older people – they are more susceptible to infections, take longer to recover from illness, and if admitted to hospital respond less well to treatment and have poorer outcomes than well nourished patients.  So, it’s worth taking an interest in your nutrition or that of an older relative or neighbour.  General nutrition advice for older people is available from lots of sources, below are a few:
