We provide specialist Live-in Homecare when it is agreed to be the best solution for the client and their family.
In a Live-in situation, obtaining a good personality “fit” between the Carers and the client is of the utmost importance. Carers need to be very flexible and discrete, and to understand not only what is needed in terms of the delivery of Care, but also how to behave and fit into the household. Responsibilities will usually include personal care and assistance with mobility, exercise, organising outings and stimulating activities, shopping and preparing nutritious and appetising meals, housekeeping and general organisational duties.
We specifically select and recruit Carers with previous Live-in Care experience, and who have the competence and personality required to assume the added level of responsibility that Live-in Care requires. Our panel of Carers work on Nurse-led tailored Care Plans that can range from 24 hour cover for two to five days per week, up to full 24/7 Care.
24 hour homecare is typically suited to the following situations:
- When a client has difficulty with mobility and needs attention and reassurance night and day.
- When specialised care is required for example in the case of End of life Care.
- When a client has complex needs and existing support systems cannot cover their needs, for example in the case of Dementia care.
- When a client needs temporary Convalescent Care after an illness or when coming home from hospital
Live in care can be set up on a Long-term basis or can be a short-term solution designed to give respite to family members.
