Heritage Homecare, in conjunction with Shiel Solicitors, ran a very well-attended Seminar on Enduring Power of Attorney in Our Lady’s Hall, Dalkey on 21 September last. Attendees were welcomed by Ed Crotty, Managing Director of Heritage Homecare, who introduced the main speaker, Margaret Walsh, Solicitor and Partner with Sheil Solicitors. Margaret is also chairperson of Solicitors for the Elderly.
Topics covered by Margaret included:
- Enduring Power of Attorney explained
- Who might need an EPA and why
- How is an EPA set up?
- Who can be appointed Attorney and what decisions could they make?
- A Living Will: can medical preferences be included?
Then there was a very lively Q&A session after the presentation where attendees could ask about the topics covered. Afterwards tea and coffee was served which gave attendees to talk further with Margaret Walsh or to staff from Heritage Homecare.
