Dementia Live®
At Heritage Homecare, we believe that understanding is the first step to truly compassionate care. That’s why we are proud to introduce Dementia Live®, an immersive training that allows carers and families to step into the world of someone living with dementia. This powerful experience builds empathy, patience, and a deeper connection with those we care for.
All of our carers will become Dementia Live®–trained caregivers, giving them the skills and insight to support clients with greater confidence and compassion. We also extend this training to families and loved ones, helping them better understand the daily experiences of dementia and equipping them with tools to strengthen their relationships. Together, we are creating a more supportive, dementia-aware community.
Dementia Live® is an immersive training experience that gives participants a powerful insight into what it is like to live with dementia. By briefly “walking in the shoes” of someone with dementia, carers, families, and professionals gain a deeper understanding of the challenges, frustrations, and emotions faced every day by people living with this condition.
This evidence-based program, created by AGE-u-cate®, has been proven to improve empathy, communication, and quality of care.
