Amanda and Kellie are absolutely outstanding and they went out of their way to visit me, even during the awful snow when my estate was like an ice rink. I am taking this opportunity on behalf of my family to thank most sincerely the carers who looked after Dad so well when he became ill. Amanda, Bláithín, Denise, Eva, Gladys and Thato were absolutely brilliant with Dad and a huge support to us as a family. Dad got on really well with them all and many stories and jokes were shared! There were other carers who substituted when necessary and they too were wonderful. They were all great with Dad and were genuinely concerned for his well being and comfort. Over time Dad needed more care which extended to night time care. At every stage and as the carer team expanded (with the increased hours) everyone of the carers allocated to us were excellent – extremely professional , well trained, skilled and proactive. Above all, to a person they were great with Dad and genuinely concerned for his well being and comfort. It gave us great peace of mind to know Dad was in such excellent positive and friendly hands. Dementia is very challenging for the sufferer and for the family and it was a huge help to know we had such a trusted team of professionals in our corner. Dad has since moved into a dementia-specific care home. Homecare was all brand new to us and I share this to make your decision easier and to make the experience for your loved one simply excellent!
